The gethostent() function is defined, and sethostent() and endhostent()
- are redefined, when Standard C Library (libc, -lc) is built to use only the routines to lookup in /etc/hosts and not the name server.
OS interface; BIND付属のライブラリもあった。
Sunではypも使っていた。
